Meet Marjolaine Simard (formally Walker) from
Art that Heals

Marjolaine is on a mission to empower women to overcome limiting beliefs, heal emotional wounds, and reclaim their God-given identity through expressive art and inner healing.

Through Art That Heals Mentoring and her program Unleash the Artist in You, she helps women break cycles of fear, shame, and self-doubt by combining creative practices with faith-based tools that lead to real, lasting transformation. Her work creates a safe space for women to process what they’ve been through, rediscover their voice, and step into their calling with courage and clarity.

Her upcoming program, Moxie by Design, is a powerful next step for women ready to renew their minds, rewire limiting patterns, and walk in bold, aligned action through a unique blend of art, neuroscience-informed practices, and Scripture.

Marjolaine has four amazing children and lives in Ottawa, the beautiful capital city of Canada. She is an advocate for survivors of sex trafficking and domestic violence and is passionate about helping women rise out of oppression and walk fully in their worth and purpose.

Open the door to your dreams

In Marjolaine’s session:

“Let’s dream big with God. For this page, I didn’t start with a big plan. I knew I wanted to create doors and see what would happen from there. As I built the layers and worked through the steps, I let it unfold instead of trying to control it. I used a dancer as my focal point, not because this is about dance for everyone, but because it’s been a door in my own life that I didn’t even realise was there until I stepped into it. It started as something small and unexpected, and it’s become a place where I’ve experienced a lot of freedom and healing.”

Introduction

Meet Marjolaine, hear about her ministry and the difference that Art Journaling with God has made to her life and the lives of those she works with helping them put their dreams into action.

Main lesson-
Open the door to your dreams…

This page started with the idea of dreams, and then the doors came pretty quickly after that. I liked the idea of something being hidden and then revealed. The pop-up element came next, and that was my favorite part. It took a bit of figuring out, but once it worked, it was so fun to create. I like when a page has something interactive that you can open or move because it changes the experience of it. It goes from something you just look at to something you can engage with. It seemed like a natural fit for this theme.
